Passionate Creed
Passionate Creed
Motivated by being a developer I aspire to helping individuals recognise their full potential, build and grow their character and to discover their gifts and talents. I want to create and lead a nurturing environment for people to grow and develop into strong, interdependent participants connected to themselves, Christ, and the world around them.
This drawing represents my passionate creed.
The roots are connected- this represents the way participants are connected to themselves, Christ, and the world around them.
Through discovering independent learners gifts and talents we work together using our strengths, to grow and to develop.
The fruit is the product- after the grow and the development fruit of the learning is produced.
My passionate creed in light of Meighans Component Theory.
Role of learner: The learners role is to be themselves and to be open to growth.
Role of teacher: To build students confidence and help them grow to their full potential. The main role of the teacher is to accept the students for who they are and what they bring to the classroom, as well as helping them discover gifts and talents they may not be aware of yet.
Resources: My passionate creed doesn't discuss resources, however providing a nurturing environment means providing the correct tools for learning.
Organisation of learning situations: I couldn't find a link to this part of Meighans component theory and my passionate creed.
Assessment:Growth is a huge aspect of my passionate creed. As a teacher I will need to implement the PA&E cycle in my classroom to be aware of the growth my students are achieving.
Aims, objectives and outcomes: The aim is to create participants connected to themselves, Christ, and the world around them. As well as helping students discover their gifts and talents, so they can become aware of their full potential and Gods plan for their lives.
Role of parents/caregivers: Parents/caregivers will play a huge role in my classroom. I changed 'I want to create and lead a nurturing environment for people to grow and develop into strong, interdependent learners connected to themselves and the world around them', to 'I want to create and lead a nurturing environment for people to grow and develop into strong, interdependent participants connected to themselves and the world around them'. I could see the need to change learner to participants because its more than just the students I will be interacting with.
